ENCHANTED GARDEN

"that happy garden state..."
Ever read the poem "The Garden" by Marvell? I'm sure many of you will have COUNTLESS times if you were an A-Level Literature student who, in turn, developed a burning hate for it. Having said that, in spite of the hours spent over-analysing, and all the stress that was centred around creating several interpretations for every. single. word.... The poem is still wonderful. The reason I'm reminiscing A-Level loathe stems from the fact that my Grandparents' garden reminds me of the garden that Marvell talks about. Everything is so beautiful and vibrant, and it has a genuine tranquil aura to it. Today I spent a lengthy amount of time writing in my 'journal' amongst all of the flowers. Perfect Sunday.

OUT IN THE GRUBBY STICKS

While the grass in my garden is pretty and green, there's a patch where the weed kill has temporarily gotten the best of it... So naturally I thought it was a perfect setting to juxtapose my outfit before it is healthy again.
Here is what I wore today for a little shopping spree with my sister:

Yellow blazer: Selected
Yellow cami: H&M
White cigarette pants: Zara
Sunglasses: Pieces
Checkered vans: Vans

LIKE LADIES DO

Today I decided to dress how I felt... Like a lady. It's a rarity that you'll see me in something that doesn't wrap tightly around both legs, so embrace it. I even added a silly out-take of me holding a flower, posing ever so innocently, just to make it all the more real.

Shift dress: Gift
Monochrome heeled sandals: ASOS
Plastic beach bag: H&M (& two tone clutch: Mango)

CULOTTE-A-TOT-TOT

Today I was wanting ultimate comfort after my shift at work so I got out the old culottes, loose hair and sliders. Perfect attire for a humid summer evening.

A HUGE SALUTE TO '90s "HEROIN CHIC"

Perhaps it's a little cliché to re-enact the styling of the notable era of "Heroin Chic", but it's only normal to give it a try? Drug abuse, gaunt expressions and unconventional sexiness defines photography of the 1990's, and here I am impersonating just that in two shots from the shoot.

BACK AND IMPROVED

As I wasn't quite enjoying blogging on my other blog, I decided to recreate it with a new name and a new perspective. My old blog focused mainly on my narcissistic self, presenting the public with a thousand and one outfit posts of 'what I wore today' or 'outfit of the century'... And this blog will be exactly the same! Ha! BUT I'll also mention my weekly beauty picks, my weekly discoveries and a hell of a lot about the wonderful life I lead...

ENJOY.
